- begin with the number one because that's how lists start, make sure number one is interesting because you kind of set the mood for the rest of the list
- google playlists for books because there are people who match songs to parts of books and its like perfectly matched background music for that scene in the book, epic example the fight scene in the relentless novel got matched with jungle by x ambassadors. epic. as. shit.
- go on goodreads and join fan clubs for your books/authors so you can remember there are other people with obsessions and you arent crazy. or at least youre not alone.
- make snacks based off the books youve read. if you that intense crazy book person go pintrest some "hunger games" snacks and eat them while reading
- watch the movies and compare them to the books, while some were great amazing close to the book the boys just as cute in real life (harry potter, the hunger games, etc.) some suck but and white wash the characters you know and love (maximum ride) then brag about how "the book was better" because the book is always better
- start a book blog
- read all my previous posts because you love me and then comment on them because you love me
- watch book trailers and hunt through recs and goodreads and start your to read list
- grow the to read list like its a small child or a plant in you practice celibacy. nurture the list. love the list. read the list. repeat.
- JOIN A FANDOM. YOU WILL PROBABLY REGRET IT BUT AT THE SAME TIME GO FIND YOUR FAMILY. stay away from some of the shadowhunter fandoms some of those get super shady super fast. shadow. shady. that was not intended but I respect myself for it none the less.
- go search amazon for literally any book merch you can find and start hording
- find out what faction you would be in (I got erudite which i find super dumb because i find myslef super dumb. if i were to be in one tbh i think i would be in dauntless or amite because im a loving human who enjoys jumping off tall structures.)
- turn me in for being divergent

YA Books...an organised list
Should I be paying attention in class? ya probably? am i gonna keep asking myself questions and answering them? eh ya. is my grammar going to get better because im writing in school and trying to reach a larger audience? no i told yall i just write and click publish i do zero editing and that wont be changing. anyways if im being completely truthful school has been kicking my butt and i havent really had time to read. cry for me. sad sad tears of a clown. ive been either writing essay, worksheets, labs and if i have five seconds i bury myself in wattpad because that requires zero commitment and its a fun place to get lost in. but because im bored and wanted to write but havent read anything i thought lets make a list. i dont really know but we are gonna list but it should probably be book related and YA related and amusing.

The Marked Girl
helllllllloooooooooo blogspot.com! should I be writing college essays instead of staying up to talk to you assholes? yes. yes i should. should I aim to not use the word asshole, have better grammar, and maybe use punctuation correctly because colleges will be searching me and find this and be appalled? yes. yes i should. was that a run on sentence? yes. yes it was. but in all honesty this is the only place i have a voice, if someone finds it and doesn't like what they find I'm sorry. but this is me. poorly punctuated, unedited, and makes zero sense. but why do i write these intros pouring ou toy soul when you just want to hear about the book? fine you greedy gremlins. its almost midnight so sit back and grab a snack now if you want one. the marked girl by Lindsey Klingele is kind of an awesome book. for those of us who have ever felt like on day you'll pick faction or get your hogwarts letter...this is for you. THATS RIGHT GUYS. ONE OF THOSE AMAZING BOOKS WHERE THE NORMAL QUIRKY HUMAN GIRL REALIZES SHES SPECIAL. AND YOU CAN IMAGINE YOUR HER AND ANY MOMENT SOMETHING EXTRAORDINARY WILL HAPPEN TO YOU AND YOU CAN KEEP DOING THIS UNTIL YOURE 80 AND YOU REALIZE LIFES PASSED YOU BY. real talk this is why i see a therapist. okay anyways I love books like this where they're based in the normal world with a normal person because you can imagine if only for a moment that it was you. I mean its not but dream on bud. so this chick Liv is a normal quirky human *see what i meant* she makes films and stuff and one day she's by this bridge with her friends when a portal for another dimension pops open like a daisy and a few good looking mother worlders come tumbling out. its LA so no one thinks its weird or anything. I'm pretty sure this is circa lindsey lohan's breakdown so.......the world had more important things to focus on. so turns out he's from an different universe and he needs to get home to save his family and do important things like fight monsters. one of the funniest aspects of the book is that the portal people are from a different world and know nothing about ours so its just 24/7 confusion about stuff like why can't I carry my sword into this diner. so they kind of end up teaming up to open this portal and it turns out she's a part of this and has a way bigger role than they thought. there are some side hoes who come in, he has some friends and she has some siblings who come help. theres a bad guy who's motives are still somewhat confusing to me but im assuming the sequel will clear it up. lets just go ahead and say its revenge. the writings clever, the plots interesting, and I can pretend I'm the main character and ill get to go on adventures on day. I would highly recommend reading this its one of my new favorite books. for real. read it. again I had people message me asking me if i get paid for this and I'm just saying I like it for cash. let me just say: who would pay for a page of grammatical error. I mean really have you read my writing? I one hundred percent don't get paid for this. and I review books I hate and I will happily make more hate reviews because as sick as this sounds I can channel my aggression by hating on books. so I guess tune in for proof I'm not getting paid for this. and other books I enjoy.

The Impossible Knife of Memory
things you may be asking yourself in this moment:
1. is this really happening?
2. after months has she finally returned better than ever?
3. will she give us more reviews because she finally bought a laptop?
4. is it wrong to use your siblings tooth brush to scrub the dogs butt?
the answers to all of the above are yes. unless the sibling wronged you. then by all means take revenge. HELLOOOOOOOO PEOPLE OF THE WEB! oh how I've missed you all. so I basically haven't had a computer all summer but finally I was able to get one and now I have returned. so the funny thing about books is they all cost like 20$ so I've been living on wattpad..... however I did read this lovely book while i was at camp so we are gonna review it and you are gonna deal with it. so without further stalling and pointless intro I know you don't care about lets begin. the impossible knife of memory by Laurie Halse Anderson is not only great because it saved me from camp quest time when I (the hyper one) needed to be entertained. its great because its funny while still being raw. the story follows the main character Hayley who's dad is a military vet with intense ptsd issues (if that bothers you don't read this) they move around a lot because her dad drives an 18-wheeler. they finally decide to settle down and we get to see it is like for a free range chicken to be crammed into the glorious all American public school system. you would assume it'd be difficult for someone raised learning geography based on their truck roots to suddenly have their face shoved into a textbook. it sounds difficult and it is and Anderson does a great job describing how hard of a time it is for Hayley. Okay so life sucks when your incredibly street smart but now have calculus class to deal with, what next? Finn. the unrealistically attractive genius swimmer. thats what happens next. its kind of like watching a slow motion car accident because you know that two people who both have these inner demons can't possibly have a smooth relationship. the other shoe must fall. so with her dads ptsd acting up Hayley knows its time to move....but what if she finally has a reason to stay?? dun. dun. duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. so its hilariously written and so many amazing descriptions of characters/situations/etc. it keeps you interested until the very last page. there is a ton of action and drama. overall the characters are well written and not annoying or anything. id stay definitely read this book if you need something to satisfy the "its summer and i can't go out because I'm broke and I need to read because it is an addiction that controls my life and will be the reason I go bankrupt" blues. I'm really happy to be back, request stuff y'all!!!

Hopeless
hellllooooo people of this universe and other universes (if you are reading this and classify your self as an extra terrestrial call me i need a cotillion date) finals are finally over!! infinite joy and happiness not to mention now i can actually get in the christmas spirit. thank God for glee christmas songs. so after making it through finals (relatively) unscathed i decided to curl up in my room jam to my glee and plow through books i had been saving as an after finals treat! yay christmas! yay books! yay charlie brown! so on the first night of my freedom i snuggled up with colleen hoover's Hopeless. i guess we are gonna go ahead and get started. after you. no really go ahead. okay if you insist. Hopeless follows our main character Sky -crap my friends are here i'll be back tomorrow to finish this- *one day later*
wow when i said one day later and its march 27th. bitch you thought. um so where were we? what book was this even? OH GOD I REMEMBER THIS ONE!!!!!! in case anyone's curious i went to cotillion with my church friend who is unfortunately from this planet. oh wow yall this has me shook. okay hopeless. what was that chicks name again??? okay sky that was it! so sky lives with her adoptive mom has a best friend and if i remember correctly she kind of keeps to herself and hoes around a bit but you know what? we don't judge here. hoe it up sky. so she meets this guy dean holder. and her friend's are like
NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO
because usually when your bestie has the hots for a guy everyone thinks is a sociopath you TRY TO TELL THEM TO SHUT THOSE FEELINGS DOWN REAL QUICK. unfortunately dean and sky hit it off and she cant quite figure out how she knows him but she does. okay so um as previously mentioned it is march three months later and i remembering this book and going through the whole emotional experience all over again. and holy shit. was it an experience. so this is the most crazy plot twist i have ever read. and all i do is read. so thats saying something. you can sit there thinking of every possible way this could end and i would bet you a bunch of money you could never guess the ending. it was one of those books where the ending shocked me so much i had to put it down for a day just to process. i mean theres some cutesy romance and some drama but honestly if it werent a literary sin id say skip to the end of the book because the last 50 pages is where the magic happens. this book does have some triggers but because spoilers im gonna go ahead and just say enter at your own risk, if any adult material usually put in trigger warnings bothers you then this book will too. the book itself is well written and the characters arent annoying or shallow or anything which is nice. i think the plot twist is so amazing its hard to think of anything else. well i guess thats all for my blast from the past. if you like books that leave you shook read this.

lets talk about #firstworldproblems when i should be doing class work
sup ma dudes. its monday and yall know what that means! it means im sitting in class writing this instead of working! this is clearly the better use of my time and i thought i would do a little somethin different. dye my hair purple, speak in a british accent, shake it up a bit. just kidding d. i was thinking...jk no i wasnt. i was doing the opposite of thinking, i was floating in a void of nothingness. because thats what we do in school. alright im kind of just rambling this wont be a book review so if thats what you're here for go do something else love ya bye. okay now that we have weeded out the fake fans lets have a chit chat. so i have a mile long book shelf in my room and i was thinking yesterday about all the new books i wanted to read and i thought...i have no money. then i looked at my dusty ass shelf and thought...lets sell some of these books. then i slit my throat with a butter knife and went all
then i came back to planet earth and had a pep talk with myself, there are a few of these that sucked lets be real and quite a few you will never read again, just sell them. and i agreed with my inner voice that a trip to half price books with someone over the age of 18 ( apparently you need to be an adult to sell books..) so i m going to be getting some new books, trouble is i have no clue what to read. so my friends please i beg of you comment and let me know what my next literary obsession should be!!!! also super fun story time ive been waiting for the third part of this series to come out for months and when this woman said beginning of 2017 she didnt mean january....or february....or march. i get writing is difficult but goodness the sequel ended with someone being dragged into the woods AND I NEED CLOSURE! also jennifer l armentrou if you ever read this respond to my freaking email please and thank you. i guess i should probably get back to work thank, yall for sticking with me through these dry days when we have no time for reading because learning is important. have a fabulous day my lovlies!

The Book Of Ivy
helllloooooo people of the internet. welcome to the part of the
review where i talk about my boring life to people who really could care less
and just wanna hear about the damn books, if you are interested in my happiness
thank you kind human. you are appreciated. if you are wishing id just get on
with it please know you are the reason i cry myself to sleep every thursday. so
i finished this series (two books) in 24 hours. ya i have no life. ill jump
into the review. then off a high balcony. the
book of ivy by Amy Engel is a dystopian novel which takes place in westfall, a
little city filled with political issues. westfall is one of the last cities to
stay standing after plagues, famine, bombs, and more plague hit the globe.
theres a crap ton of issues between the founding families like while one wants
a fair government the other is a tyrant. in the end the tyrant wins and proclaims
that on the 16th-18th birthdays of the teens they will marry into a different
social class (he did this to make sure if the other families wanted to rise up
their children would be married to their enemies and on the other side) so ivy
westfall turns 16 and goes of to be wed against her will and trust me when i
say she is not a happy camper, she is being married off to the son he
president. basically three generations after the whole tyranny vs. democracy
issue they are forcing their children into marriage to ensure peace. here's the
catch: ivy has been trained by her father and her mission is to kill her soon
to be husband bishop lattimer. here's the OTHER catch...she may just start
feeling things for the boy she has been raised to hate and trained to kill. DUN
DUN DUN. okay so. first of all i like how this dystopian world is set up. there
is a lot of living of the land but they are also aware of things that existed
before the shit hit the fan, such as bras. its very funny to be in a dystopian
setting hunting for food and mention something as normal as a bra. another
thing i enjoyed about this book is when ivy and bishop are forced into marriage
they act fumbly and awkward and boyy oh boy did i scream THAT WOULD BE ME. they
often poke fun at it too, like when they're first married they just look at
each other..."so do you want a sandwich?". welcome to married life
ladies and gents, its a blast. the characters are super well written and have
lots of depth behind them, i think the best part of this book is that ya by
reading the back cover you can figure out they probably fall in love and shes
conflicted because shes been raised to hate him blah blah blah. but theres so
much more to the stories, family issues that have stayed buried are brought to
light and things get shaken up. it's a fairly quick read and nothing to
complicated that it will leave you confuse, it's nice if you want an easy read
that's still interesting. i would recommend reading this if you like matched or
defy. have a fabulous life

The Enlighten Series
*universal intro theme music plays* welcome children, elderly, teens, and extra terrestrials to this a most epic review of the enlighten series. its been a pretty good week a cute boy asked me on a date so that's freaking cool. i tried to be smooth like all the kick ass heroines in my books but i just turned bright red and smiled like a chubby nub. oh well. so in other awesome news i have been in contact with kristin van resseghem about when she will be writing the third book in the series (there are two books so far and a third on the way) and anyhow i just feel like i need to make it clear I DO NOT GET PAID FOR THIS. trust me i wish i did. and kristin van resseghem did not contact me asking me to do this.... i stalked her like a crazy fangirl and i feel like its only fair to repay her kind emails with a review. so here we go. swords and stilettos or the enlighten series as it is also known is a pretty great series about a girl named zoe jabril. zoe is just an average run in the mill teen until out of literally no where her best friends reveals hes her guardian angel and she is fated to bring together fairies, werewolves, nephilim, and angels together to fight evil. did i mention there is nephilim who is super cute and when they touch she gets a lil shock. 0 to 100 REAL FREAKING QUICK. join zoe as she makes new friends and keeps the old one is silllvverr and the others golllddddd. sorry. but like not really. come join zoe as she figures out that there are so many mystical and magical things in her life that she never knew about, watch as she touches an electric cattle fence every time she bumps into a cute boy, and come listen to words. it's a book so theres bound to be words. okay i feel like the first thing i need to say is the first few pages you meet zoe and the slightly girly title coupled with the fact that she says something along the lines of i looked into the window of a store and made sure not one hair on my head was out of place and then starts talking about her coffee order and all i could think was "oh great shes gonna be one of those annoying girls who is worried about a chipped nail while running from demons". but trust me when i say this is the only vain thing she says a page or so later you see the real her who honestly doesnt care about what people think and starts to kick ass which is just awesome. honestly i loved the story it was fairly simple but not borning and pretty easy to keep up with. the characters are all well written and none of them annoy or vex me so thats great. AND OH. THE CLIFFHANGER. lets just say the end of the second book in the series is one of the most intense cliffhangers i have read next to the marked series or the oxygen series. i am a big fan of the stories with the main characters who basically pull a hannah montana, like one day they are average and the next they are fighting monsters and evil. BUT. and i mean this is a kardashian sized but. there are some stories where the main character has this life switch and they suck at fighting evil or they have a crap attitude about the whole thing and then there are the main characters that take to these completely new worlds or battles like a duck to water. this book is the latter. zoe isnt a damsel in distress and she kind of slays the whole situation, im the savior of the world?? *panics for a few hours* okay im ready lets do this. overall it was a solid read i do recommend it for anyone who is into paranormal romance. comment for suggestions

The Iron Fey Series
WELCOME TO 2017 PEOPLE OF EARTH!!! so far these 18 days of the new year have sucked considerably less than 2016 and for that i am grateful. now all i need to do is avoid the impending doom we call valentines day. schools been a touch busy so expect more sporadic posts. with out further delay lets chit chat bout one of my favorite ya folklore books! the Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa is a three book series based on faerie lore from william shakespears midsummer nights dream. if you have read any faerie books before its the same general lore with the summer and winter fey who have this rivalry over the seasons (iron kills them both) so they live in nature and compete with each other. enter meghan chase the...completely normal teen? ya not so much. meghan is thrust into the world of the fey where she goes on many an adventure with her best friend puck from the summer kingdom and the mysterious prince of the winter kingdom who she catches some feels for. they travel and fight together for faeries summer and winter alike are threatened by a new enemy..one that could end the faerie world as they know it.. DUN DUN DUN. so basically i love this series. it comes close to the lux and selection series and i have no problem re reading and re reading it because it is just so damn good. first of all meghan is a kick ass female lead, girl power, fight for your right, i mean this chick actually literally in all seriousness smashes through a glass ceiling. puck her side kick partner in crime is hilarious and i 100% want a puck in my life, like where is my quirky best friend who casually throws around one liners.. oh wait trevors probably asleep. and who doesn't love a tall dark and mysterious boy hmm well kagawa gave us one! so the story is super well written and kagawa clearly knew shakespears midsummer nights dream very well and tied in the lore seamlessly with the story. i really could rave about how much ass this book kicks for quite some time. its one of those books that you day dream about how its gonna end up until the literal moment you finish it and trust me when i tell you the ending is oh so satisfying. i love every direction this book went in from taking an old story and shinning it up again while not copying shakespear. lets be real how many cinderella movies are there? like at least ten with the same plot and just a little difference, selena gomez and the dancing cinderella story, demi lavoto with the singing version, and even one with the chick from pretty little liars. its not like that. sheakspears story is basically the world the completely original story takes place in. it is in no way like every cinderella story ever written where they just take the same story and through a new chick in a glass slipper. the only critique i have for this would be the first three books are from meghans pov while the conclusion to the story are a few books written in ash's pov (dark mysterious handsome prince) and while i love ash i enjoyed meghans pov more. other than that it was 10/10. fans of defy or see me will love this addictive series. stay tuned ill be back in a jiffy with more!
