okay now that the inevitable selection freakout is out of the way i shall begin. i could write a whole book just talking about this series, i have read it more than once because the relationships in it are so damn good! let me just tell yall something, there is nothing i hate more in a book than "instalove". when two characters all the sudden are just in love after two pages and it seems completely unrealistic, im all for love at first sight but do you even know his last name? what if he is an ax murderer rapist who lives in his moms basement collecting pokemon cards?? the selection is completely void of instalove, in fact it takes her the whole first book to even realize she might like him and it isnt really set in stone till book three. the author took such time to craft this relationship and the emotions it feels so real! but i guess im getting a tad ahead of myself, the selection is basically the bachelor except in a castle and chris harrison is no where to be found. 35 girls come in to vie for the heart of the prince, the story is from the pov of america singer who is a five (they use a caste system here to rank social importance and decide what job you would do 1 is the best 8 is the worst) she accidently entered the competstition she goes because the money will help feed her family and she has no intention of loving the prince. its one of those out of all the candidates he likes her but she couldnt be bothered, they become friends and their relationship blossoms and its super cute. but theirs more to the story than just romance, their is a lot of other emotional stuff, they get really into the politics of the dystopian world and she wants to make a difference, their are a few cool fighting suspense scenes and a lot of daddy drama. let me just warn you if you read this you will love maxon. no ifs ands or buts. i highly suggest yall read this you will enjoy it i know i did. please comment below i would LOVE to talk about this book!!! thanks for reading
